That's a good question. I consider myself a bit of a chameleon. I don't have a distinct style or look that I bring to all of my work. I believe that each client or project is unique and therefore needs a unique solution.
There are plenty of talented designers out there who do beautiful work. What sets me apart are the traits that aren't typical of designers. I'm super organized and efficient. I'm great at managing projects from the beginning to end – from the big picture to the nitty gritty details. I'm a problem-solver who also makes things pretty.
I live in Calgary, Alberta. I graduated with a degree in Visual Communications from the Alberta College of Art and Design. I've been working full time ever since, and I'm currently employed at Corbis, a stock photography company that also includes Veer. I work on a few freelance projects each year.
I'm a graphic designer, not a website developer, so I partner with other talented folks who specialize in their respective fields. This allows each of us to focus on our specialties, resulting in the best solution possible.
Like a lot of people, I want to travel the world. I'm making progress slowly but surely. My latest adventure was volunteering in India for a month. I do things like lawn bowling during the summer and making the most out of my Crock-Pot during the winter. I'm constantly reorganizing my home, trying to make the best use of the space. I tend inflict my organizational obsession on my friends' and family's homes, usually to minimal objection.
